Nike Pride Ad 2016
After creating Nike's LGBT and Friends Employee Group's 2015 add for Memphis Pride, I was honored to be asked to create one for the next year. This time, I was inspired by Nike's sponsorship of Chris Mosier, the first openly trans athlete to earn a spot on a US men's national team, and featured him.
I was also inspired by Nike's embracing the pink triangle symbol, which had been used to identify gay people during the holocaust - when up to 15,000 were sent to concentration camps (and over 100,000 arrested) - and became a symbol of the LGBTQ community and the global gay rights movement.
